Breaking The Barriers- Junior Art Contest

USTA NorCal is sponsoring the inaugural art contest for kids from Northern California in celebration of “Breaking the Barriers” an exhibit chronicling the history of Blacks in tennis. The exhibit will be showcased at the San Francisco Public Library from September 28, 2013 to January 5, 2014. The winners of the contest will have their artwork showcased alongside the exhibit! Women's History Month, March 2013


Women’s History Month, now celebrated annually in the United States, grew out of a weeklong celebration of women’s contributions to culture, history and society organized by the school district of Sonoma, California, in 1979. The idea quickly caught on within communities, schools and organizations across the country. In 1981, the U.S. Congress made it official, passing a resolution establishing Women’s History Week. Six years later, the event was expanded into the entire month of March. Read More

USTA NorCal Reunites Girls Summer Camp


The 2012 Girl's Summer Camp was a great success. A reunion clinic was held on October 20th to reinforce skills and reunite friends. All the camp attendees were talented players and were thrilled with the camp. Their parents were equally enthusiastic. Read More
