New TSR for Central and South Valley

Diane Brooks is the new Tennis Service Representative (TSR), serving all of Fresno & South Valley Counties.
USTA Nor Cal is pleased to announce the hiring of Diane Brooks as the new Tennis Service Representative (TSR), serving all of Fresno & South Valley Counties, including San Joaquin, Calvares, Tuolumne, Stanislaus, Mariposa, Merced, Madera, Fresno, Tulare, Kings, Mono, Inyo.

Diane is incredibly familiar with ALL USTA programs—because she worked for USTA Southern California for the last 7 years as their TSR representing Los Angeles County.  In 1994, Brooks received the SCTA’s Special Service Award for her many years of involvement in SCTA programs.

Before joining SCTA, Diane worked as GM, Director of Tennis for Cheviot Hills Tennis Center in West LA.  Prior to that, Brooks spent 10 years as manager and Director of Tennis at the Las Vegas Country Club before meeting her husband and moving to Los Angeles.

Diane grew up in Northern California and played competitive junior tennis here.  She is the daughter of Norman Brooks who was a lifetime volunteer with the Northern California Tennis Association and served as Secretary/Treasurer.  He was inducted into the NCTA Hall of Fame in 1991. Diane has many fond memories of her activities with the NCTA when she was a junior player.

Her father taught her to play tennis at 10 years old, earning a top 5 Nor Cal state ranking throughout her junior career. At 16, Brooks won both the Oregon State and Washington State Championships on the Pacific Northwest tour.

When asked why she accepted the opportunity for the position as a USTA Nor Cal Tennis Service Representative, Brooks emits a smile of appreciation for the challenge to accomplish spreading good information of the many ways NorCAL provides service to communities. "The goal is to identify what needs a community may have in order to maintain the growth of tennis. Perhaps a school district would like to start an after-school program at their school campus, or a Recreation and Parks Department would like to implement adult and junior leagues in their area, or a diversified area may need help with equipment and tennis court repair. When the need is identified, the dedicated Nor Cal program directors step in as both service and support in fulfilling a community’s needs."

Brooks adds, "I look forward to continuing Marion Thomson’s sincere relationships with her many customers throughout the Fresno and South Valley Counties.
