Locate Play Days & Festivals Via Our Online Registration System

Play Days are a great way for kids under the age of 12 to play tennis in a fun, non-threatening, non-elimination, competitive environment. Over the duration of a few hours, a Play Day allows kids to experience serving, rallying and scoring in an informal competition. What does a Play Day look like? View photos.

Kids participate at their level with opponents of similar skills. The emphasis is placed on participation, effort and sportsmanship. These low key competitions are organized in formats that allow children to play again and again, whether they win or lose. Level 1 and Level 2 Play Days are offered based on age and experience.

Level 1 Play Days

	RED Level Play Day is for 1.5 to 2 hours and is played on a 36 foot court. Introduction to Red Ball – For players who have NEVER played tennis before. The main focus is for players to have fun hitting the ball over the net for the first time. Beginner Red Ball –For players who have previously played tennis (two or three times) and are ready to learn to drop-hit serve, overhand serve or underhand serve. The main focus is to rally with others while learning how to serve and score. Intermediate Red Ball – For players who have previously participated in match play and are ready to learn to serve overhand. Players will need to know how to keep score.
	ORANGE level of Play Day is no more than 2.5 hours and is played on a 60 foot court. *Beginner / Intermediate Orange Ball* – This level is for players who have little or no match play experience on 60 foot courts using an Orange level ball. The main focus is for players to get acclimated to playing on a larger court with the Orange ball. Players do need to know how to keep score.
	GREEN level of Play Day is no more than 2.5 hours and is played on a 78 foot court. *Green Ball* – This level is for players who have little or no match play experience on 78 foot courts using a Green level ball. The main focus is for players to get acclimated to playing on a larger court with the Green ball. Players should know how to serve and keep score.

Level 2 Play Days

	Advanced Red Play Day – For players who are ready to participate in basic match play and can keep track of the score. Players need to serve overhand without the help of a coach. The main focus of this level is for players to develop their skills during match play. Players should know how to serve and use a tie-break to keep score.
	Advanced Orange Play Day - For players who are ready to participate in basic match play and can keeps track of the score. The main focus of this level is for players to develop their skills during match play. Players should know how to serve and keep score.
	Advanced Green Play Day – For players who are getting ready to compete in Junior Team Tennis and sanctioned tournaments. Players should know how to hit an overhand serve and keep score.
