USTA Northern California

  • Tennis Development Workshop Stipend:  The TDW is the largest annual gathering of CTA/NJTL leaders in the country. Attendees will enjoy top notch sessions lead by specialists in their field and networking opportunities. Save the date (first weekend in October) and plan to send representative(s) from your local organization to TDW. Grants between $500-$1000 available. Application process begins in April.


  • Wheelchair Stipend Application:  The stipend provides financial support to not-for-profit USTA Member Organizations that promote recreational or competitive programs which may include:  tournaments, exhibitions, clinics, or instructional camps for junior and adult wheelchair tennis players. Awards range from $500-$4,000.

Deadline for events from January - July is: January 31, 2016
Deadline for events from August - December is: August 1, 2016


  • TAG (Tournament Assistance Grant for Juniors):  USTA NorCal offers financial assistance to all junior tennis players to enter and play tennis tournaments within the Northern California Section. This grant does not apply to National events.


Diversity & Inclusion Grants

Diversity Committee Tennis Teachers Conference Stipend: The Tennis Teachers Conference is held during the first week of the US Open.  It  brings together teaching professionals, coaches, recreational leaders, physical education teachers and sport scientists to experience presentations in tennis management and programming. 

USTA Northern California Tennis Foundation

The Northern California Tennis Foundation assists junior tournament players who lack the resources for equipment or entry fees.  They also assist community tennis associations, schools, park and rec organizations who seek to provide junior programming.

USTA Foundation

The USTA offers a variety of grants to help grow the game of tennis in many ways. The USTA Grants and Awards Summary provides a short description of each grant, along with key dates, requirements and contact information.
