Learn how to deliver one of the most popular tennis programs, Cardio Tennis! Two Training Courses are offered at the Claremont Resort & Spa in Berkeley on May 7 and May 8, 2012.

The Claremont Resort and Tennis Director, Rosie Bareis are hosting Cardio Tennis Workshops.  Lunch will be provided for workshop attendees. Please come dressed and ready to participate in the on-court instruction and demonstrations.
 

May 7, 9:00 am to  4:00 pm:  Cardio Tennis Training

This course teaches the fundamentals of Cardio Tennis and everything you need to know to make it a sucess at your facility.  Cost $140.  Enroll Online
After participating in this workshop you will have a strong understanding of the following:
  • What is Cardio Tennis, its purpose and benefits
  • The six components of Cardio Tennis
  • Key ingredients of a healthy curriculum
  • The importance of heart rate monitors and how to use them
  • Proper warm-up activities, Cardio games and drills, cool down activities and cardio blasts
  • Drill based vs play based exercises
  • How to market and make money with Cardio Tennis
Attendees of the Cardio Tennis workshop will gain the proper experience and techniques for:
  • Recommended feeding approaches
  • Running an ideal Cardio Tennis class
  • Working with players of different skill and ability levels

In this course you'll learn how to deliver TRX Cardio Tennis classes, including four lesson plans with over 30 TRX exercises.  Cost $200  Enroll Online
Course Details
Designed by experts for the tennis and fitness professional who want to be part of a new cutting edge exercise program. This course teaches you how to incorporate TRX into your Cardio Tennis program and how to grow your tennis/fitness business. In this course you'll learn how to deliver TRX Cardio Tennis classes, including four lesson plans with over 30 TRX exercises. You will also learn the principals and benefits of Suspension Training; how to properly perform and "cue" exercises, modifications and progressions to adapt the exercises to every fitness level.
 
You will experience the 90 minute program, understand the purpose of the lesson plans and the timing of the rotations, and you will know how to keep the class safe and healthy.
 
At the conclusion of this course you will be able to:
  • Deliver TRX Cardio Tennis with 7-16 players on one court
  • Correctly set up & use the TRX Suspension Trainer™ on a court including indoor options
  • Correctly demonstrate how to perform over 30 TRX exercises
  • Articulate the benefits of TRX Cardio Tennis
  • Access TRX Cardio Tennis trainer resources
  • Cue and correct common faults
