TEN TEAMS CROWNED AT COMBO SECTIONALS


ALAMEDA, Calif. — March 28, 2017 — Seven teams captured titles at the 2016 USTA Northern California Combo Sectional Championship this past weekend in the Fresno area, and three teams were crowned back in February at the District Championship. For the second straight match, freshman Alaina Miller won the deciding point for the Bruins. Miller edged Tami Grende in a third-set tiebreaker to clinch for the No. 27 UCLA women’s tennis team. NorCal's Berg & Cline Qualify for WTA Volvo Car Open


Sophomore Hadley Berg and freshman Paige Cline of the South Carolina women's tennis team won the doubles draw at the SHAPE Magazine Invitational in Charleston, S.C., on Thursday, qualifying them for participation in the WTA's prestigious Volvo Car Open.
