Adult 65 And Over Section Championships


ALAMEDA, Calif. — June 27, 2017— Six teams captured titles at the 2017 USTA Northern California Adult 65 & Over League Section Championships June 19-21, in the Napa area. The Women’s 3.0 season culminated during the league playoff with a 2-1 win. The championships brought together the top 32 teams with over 350 players of various ability levels throughout Northern California. For the second straight match, freshman Alaina Miller won the deciding point for the Bruins. Miller edged Tami Grende in a third-set tiebreaker to clinch for the No. 27 UCLA women’s tennis team. NorCal's Berg & Cline Qualify for WTA Volvo Car Open


Sophomore Hadley Berg and freshman Paige Cline of the South Carolina women's tennis team won the doubles draw at the SHAPE Magazine Invitational in Charleston, S.C., on Thursday, qualifying them for participation in the WTA's prestigious Volvo Car Open.
