UC Berkeley Dominates 2011 Campus Championships


It was an all Berkeley final with the Berkeley Gold team defeating the Berkeley White team for section championship honors October 29-30 at Stanford University. UC Berkeley earns a bid to the USTA National Campus Championships April 12-14, 2012, Cary Tennis Park, Cary, North Carolina. Other teams that will be representing the section at the National Campus Championships are UC Davis and Stanford, who finished third and fourth respectively. Read More

Andrew's Beats Teammate in Final


Cal senior Nick Andrews (from Folsom) beat his sophomore teammate Ben McLachlan in a tiebreaker final shootout 10-7 to win the 11th annual event played at the Meadowood Resort. NorCal's Connor Farren, representing the USTA Junior National Team, reached the semi-finals before losing to Andrews. Read More

Maria Sanchez Named to 2011 USTA Collegiate Team


NorCal standout Maria Sanchez of Modesto, will begin her transition into the world of professional tennis this summer. Sanchez has been named to the 2011 Women’s USTA collegiate team along with 18 of the nation's top men's and women's collegiate tennis players.
