2012 USTA NorCal NTRP Grand Slam Tournaments

USTA Northern California is pleased to announce the 2012 NTRP Grand Slam Tournaments. In 2012 there will be 5 tournaments that are designated USTA NorCal NTRP Grand Slam Tournaments. A tournament gains the NTRP Grand Slam status by obtaining the highest player evaluations and/or the most number of NTRP tournament of the year votes the previous year. Players receive twice the regular ranking points. Read More

2012 Tournaments of the Year

NTRP Tournaments of the Year (TOY) have been decided based on player evaluations. The tournaments that have achieved the highest player ratings for a specific NTRP division have earned TOY status for that division. Players earn 1.5 times the standard point value for any division designated as a TOY in a tournament, but only for that division. Read More

Six Northern California Players Named to International Tennis Teams

Six of the 40 players who will represent the United States at the 32nd ITF Seniors World Team Championships in San Diego County are from Northern California. They will join the other top American tennis players (men and women) in age divisions 35-55 to compete February 6-11 in Carlsbad, Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla and San Diego, California. Read More

USA Britannia Cup Team Wins 7 Gold Medals in Super Senior World Championship

Charlie Hoeveler of Ross, CA teamed Hugh Thomson, Norcross, GA, David Nash, Bloomington, MN, and Jim Parker, Santa Fe, NM to finish first in the Britannia Cup competition for men 65 and over. The competition was held on the slow red clay courts in Antalya, Turkey with over 500 players representing over 35 countries playing in the various age groups Read More
