2012 Lair of the Bear

Famed Cal women's coach, Jan Brogan instructs at Lair of the Bear

USTA Members Save at Lair of the Bear

UC Berkeley's historic Lair of the Bear camp in the Sierra, is pleased to announce the return of three high-energy adult tennis camps in late summer 2012.

Each of these all-inclusive sessions feature a USTA member discount of $100, an outstanding, Cal-infused instructional staff, a gourmet menu, and endless fun in a beautiful woodland setting. Just three hours from the Bay Area, and located at 5600 feet in Pinecrest, CA, the Lair has long been known for providing a legendary family camp experience for Cal alumni. However for more than 30 years, the Lair has also been about tennis!

Lair Golf and Tennis Camp (Sept 2-8) features USTA NorCal Hall of Fame coaching legend, Jan Brogan, and former tour pro and doubles tactician, Helle Sparre, and caters to the more serious and accomplished tennis player. This session is for athletes who are really looking to take their abilities to the next level.

GlamSlam Tennis Academy for Women (Aug 25-29) Led by Cal Hall of Fame Coaches, Jan Brogan and Amy Jensen, this new Academy features training on: mastering the mental game, team success, and doubles strategy and tactics. This tennis immersion at the Lair provides everything the female tennis player needs to become an even more confident competitor.

Club Lair (Aug19-25) is for the more casual, recreational player and blends a development-of-the-whole-tennis-player curriculum with an endless stream of activity favorites, including hiking, karaoke, tie-dye, kayaking, swimming, and stand-up paddle boarding.

For more information or to make your reservation, visit lairofthebear.org or call 510.642.0221. The Lair welcomes all. You do not need to be a Cal graduate to attend this or any Lair adult session
