The purpose of the meetings is to provide captains with strong support, education and updates on league play. "Captains will be given the chance to ask questions of USTA representatives and learn what’s going on both nationally and locally," stated Anna Elefant the Section League Coordinator and Manager of Adult Leagues for USTA NorCal. "It’s also a terrific opportunity for captains to meet and get to know each other off the tennis court," she added.
Topics to be covered include new rules for 2012, national age restructure coming in 2013, team formation and registration, league regulations, ratings, the Captain's Handbook, and the use of captain and player availability tools. Resources for support and clarification will be identified. At least one NorCal staff member will be present at each meeting.
All captains are strongly encouraged to attend one of these meetings.
