"At Level” Player Requirement: Adult 18 & Over teams must have a minimum of 6 players for five-line leagues or 4 players for three-line leagues who are rostered at the team’s NTRP level by the time the first match is played. The team is required to maintain the required number of “at level” players throughout the entire season, including postseason play. If a team does not have the required number of “at level” players at the time of any match, that team match will count as a loss with all individual team matches being scored as 6-0, 6-0 losses. In any “plus” team (4.5+, 5.0+, etc.), up to two “plus” players may count as part of the total team requirement for the “at level” players. "At Level" FAQs
What does 5.0+ mean? New in 2013, 5.0+ teams may include up to two players rated 5.5. Players rated 5.5 must play in either the Singles or #1 Doubles line, and only one 5.5 player may participate in a match at one time.
NORCAL 5.5+ & NORCAL OPEN are for players rated 5.5, 6.0, 6.5, and above. There is no limit to the number of players rated higher than 5.5 to join a 5.5+ team, but "plus" players must play in order of strength.
