Senior League 2009 Getting started, Using your Team Page.
Password-don’t have it?
Find Member Login, top right of your Player Page and all Team Pages. Click on it.
Use the option at the bottom to have your password emailed to you.
Logging In:
Logging in gives you access to programs and options that the public does not have.
When you enter your password, you will see your Player Page, listing all the teams with which you are affiliated.
Click on the name of the team you want to access. If you are captain of that team, you will see your Team Page
with all the special bells and whistles to help you this season.
Each of these options helps you. Each allows you to do something for your team, easily and quickly.
Captain Tools
When you are logged in, you have access to a number of tools that the public does not see.
See that dark blue stripe running across your Team Page? You will use all the links there
but most important is the link called Captain Tools.
Put your cursor on it and you will see a drop down menu of useful tools.
Add to Roster. Remove from Roster
Some captains like to put players on the roster and here you can do it in batches, rather than one at a time.
Most captains let players do it themselves. Only captains can remove a player from a roster. Players do not need a password
to join a team.
Post Match Dates
After you have specific dates and times of your matches go here to post them on the web.
Update Team Info
Correct or change the name and email address of the captain and co-captain.
Name Your Team
Add a personalized nickname to your boring Team name.
Email your Opponents
Contact all your opposing captains with one email letter. Good for notifying everyone of your home match schedule.
Player Availability
Your players can log in with their own passwords and indicate what matches they can play. (More information below in blue*)
Use this! It will save you a lot of phone calls and emails.
Opponent Contact Info
Email addresses and phone numbers of your opponents
Sportsmanship/Rules Disputes, Self Rate Grievances
How to file a grievance or challenge an opponent’s self rating
*Player Availability: A table for compiling players’ availability for your matches
When you log in as captain, you can see the entire Availability Table. Just click on the Captain Tool called Player Availability on your team page.
When a player logs in, he sees the Player Availability option as well. He can enter his own information, and he can edit it at any time. For security reasons, he cannot enter info for anyone else. You can elect to show all players’ availability to all you team members. This table will also include who won and lost your matches during the season. As captain you can elect not to show this.
How do you get your teammates to use this tool? Here is text you can copy and paste in an email to them. If you’re computer savvy, in step 1 you can send them a link right to your Team Page.
Hey, Teammates!
This is your captain speaking.
Time to make my job easier. You can go right to the web and let me know your availability for matches this season.
Do it or I’ll quit and you’ll have to be captain.
1. Go to our Team Page. Find the Member Log in link, top right corner. Click on it.
2. Your Password.
Use this program to have your password mailed to you. Enter your membership number and NorCal will send your password to your emailbox in a minute or two. Do not call the office.
Return to this program with your password and log in.
3. You are now on your Player Page. Find our team name. You can see the team names of all the teams you are on in the center section of your Player Page. Maybe you will need to scroll down to see this section. It has blue and white stripes through it. You can’t miss it. Click on our team name. Now you are on our Team Page.
4. On the Team Page, top right, is a horizontal dark blue stripe. Find Player Tools. Click on it. Find Player Availability in the drop down menu and click on it.
5. You will see a table with player names and match dates. Click on your name and enter your availability status for each match. Then click SAVE. That’s it! So simple!
6. You can go back in any time and change your status, but if you have an emergency and have to pull out of a line-up, call me. Don’t think I check that information every hour.
