Hey, Mixed Captains,
The forecast is not so good for the rest of this week and the coming weekend. We must be in Seattle. Or Hilo. They are used to all this rain! Something is very wrong here…
Because your first weekend of playoffs is not until March 7-9, we are able to extend the deadline for completing Mixed local league matches once more. The new and absolutely final deadline is March 2.
If the result of a match has no impact on the final standings for your flight, you and the other captain can agree not to play it. Just leave the scorecard blank (neither of you should claim a win by forfeit.) As long as there is no impact on the final standings, there are no problems with doing this. Of course, if either captain insists on playing the match, then it should be rescheduled.
If the result of a match does impact final standings in your flight, then you should get the match played. Any match unplayed by the deadline will be counted in the final standings as a loss for both teams, and if you are a team fighting to be in the top four, you do not want to add a loss this way.
What if it rains on 3/2 and your match is not completed?
No more extensions. That match will be a loss for both teams.
