Northern California Tennis Foundation

THE DEADLINE FOR 2011 SUBMITTING NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TENNIS FOUNDATION GRANT APPLICATIONS IS DECEMBER 24, 2011, 12:00 NOON. The Foundation Board of Trustees will meet in mid January to review all fourth quarter 2011 applicants and award notifications will be made by January 31st.

The Northern California Tennis Foundation is committed to promoting and developing tennis growth and participation in communities throughout the Northern California and Northwestern Nevada. The program plays a critical role in this mission by assisting organizations and individual players that seek to become more active members and participants in tennis programs, activities and tournaments. NCTF’s position within the tennis community is both an opportunity and a responsibility to provide leadership. In support of this mission to promote the growth and development of tennis:

  1. The NCTF grants program is a resource to benefit individuals and organizations which might not otherwise be able to participate in or offer tennis programs and activities;
  2. Our policies, programs and practices as well as those of our grant recipients should enable and encourage growth, participation and inclusiveness;
  3. Our grants support can strengthen the capacity for individuals, organizations and communities to benefit by encouraging fitness, health, citizenship, academic achievement, leadership, volunteerism and self-esteem;
  4. Our Grants Program plays an important but limited role in supporting the success of individuals, programs and organizations;
  5. We expect individuals and organizations to have other sources of support in addition to the support which we may provide.

NCTF ForeHand Organization Grants

NCTF focuses on improving the quality of life by supporting community based organizations which promote educational, physical and social development through coordinated tennis activities. Read More
 

NCTF ForeHand Individual Grants

NCTF funds junior tennis players who do not have the financial means to receive individual instruction, travel to and participate in USTA NorCal sanctioned tournaments or USTA National Championship tournaments. Read More
 

NCTF Partners with USTA Serves

USTA Serves is the national charitable foundation of the USTA. The Northern California Tennis Foundation helps to locally promote USTA Serves education grant and college scholarship programs. NCTF can assist in helping to identify qualified applicants deserving of national support and recognition. Read More
