NTRP Complaints
(FiftyMixed and Combo Leagues only)
An NTRP complaint is a challenge filed by an opposing captain who believes that one of his opponents is playing with a rating that is too low.
An NTRP complaint may be filed by the captain or co-captain of the team that played a match against the player whose rating is being challenged. The complaint must be filed within 4 days of the match in which that player participated. There is a $25.00 fee for filing. This fee is returned if the complaint is upheld.
The complaint must be received by the USTA NorCal office within 4 days of the match, or within 24 hours of the end of the local league season, whichever is first. If the deadline for filing falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline is the end of the next business day.
The complaint must be cced to the opposing captain, the player and your area coordinator at the time this appeal is filed. If the captain filing does not have the address of the player, he must specifically ask the USTA NorCal office to forward the complaint to that player.
The captain filing must remit a check for $25.00, payable to USTA NorCal. The check should be mailed to the NorCal office. The complaint will not be acted upon until the check is received. If the complaint is upheld, the check will be returned.
