USTA NorCal is offering the opportunity for you to attend the officials "ROOKIE SCHOOL" and be certified as a tennis official for the 2012 tennis season.

Cost to participate is $29 ($25 workshop fee + $4 processing fee) which includes:
- Box lunch
- Membership to the USTA NorCal Umpires and Referees Association
- Copy of the 2012 "Friend at Court" book
Topics that will be covered are the rules of tennis, certification process, different umpire avenues, types of trainings to expand skills, types of tennis officiating and much more. This workshop is ideal for those wishing to earn extra income and for those wishing to be a part of a ‘sport of a lifetime’!
Please note that there is a new prerequisite prior to registering for the workshop. USTA policy requires workshop participants to initiate a Background Screening Process before signing up for the class. The screening is free of charge for USTA members, otherwise there is a fee. To update or acquire USTA membership, please call 1.800.990.8782. Participation in the workshop is not allowed without the background screening.
